Wireless online with MESSE FRIEDRICHSHAFEN hotspot

Quickly sending an email or checking the Internet via laptop or PC while at a trade fair has become a standard feature for visitors and exhibitors. Unfortunately, so is the pile of cable spaghetti that goes along with it. There is another way: with wireless LAN. All trade fair halls, the open-air grounds and the press and congress centres here at Friedrichshafen are equipped with the technology to allow access to the digital network even without an ISDN connection. System requirement is a W-LAN card. The latest Laptops often have the interface already integrated.

With MESSE FRIEDRICHSHAFEN hotspot, you can surf the Internet or access your company intranet easily, reliably and without wires, all at very high-speed data signalling rates.

Public W-LAN enables a gross data signalling rate of up to 54 Mbit/s in the worldwide recognized standard 802.11b/g – and the best thing is: no cable connection is required.

Usage time and billing: you can choose. Simply start the Internet browser on your W-LANenabled laptop. MESSE FRIEDRICHSHAFEN hotspot will be automatically recognized and you will reach the hotspot portal directly. At this point, you are surfing in the local network, the socalled "walled garden" – you are not yet online, and therefore do not incur any costs at this stage. To then log onto the Internet, you need a user name and your personal password.

Billing and prizes

Via credit card or a voucher
You can log in via credit card. Follow the user prompts and choose between a duration of one, three or nine hours. You then enter the necessary credit card details. Once these have been checked, your Internet session begins automatically for the selected duration.

Or you can buy a voucher, this contains your username and password. You can buy a voucher at any selling point indicated.
